Yandex Mail + Gmail
Yandex Mail and Gmail in one inbox
A Yandex mailbox and a Gmail one usually mean two tabs and two apps. Stjobno Mail shows both in one list — and answers from the right address.
Short answer: create an app password in Yandex ID and one in your Google Account, add both addresses to Stjobno Mail and read them together. Nothing is moved: the mail stays in Yandex and Gmail.
Why not a mail collector inside one of them?
- Gmail stops collecting mail from other accounts in 2026.
- A collector copies the letters into one mailbox, and replies go out from it unless you set up sending for each address.
- In Stjobno Mail each mailbox stays as it is — read, answered and deleted on its own server.
Step by step
- 1
Sign in to Stjobno Mail
With Google it is one press, and the account is free.
- 2
Allow mail programs in Yandex Mail and create an app password
The steps for Yandex are below; it takes two minutes.
- 3
Create an app password for Gmail
Turn on 2-Step Verification, then create the password at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords — the steps are below.
- 4
Add both addresses
Type each address and its app password; the servers are filled in for you. Each mailbox gets its colour.
The passwords and servers, provider by provider
Yandex Mail: an app password
- In Yandex Mail open Settings → Email clients and allow access from the imap.yandex.ru server via IMAP, with app passwords.
- Open id.yandex.ru → Security → App passwords, choose "Mail", give it a name and create it.
- Copy the password Yandex shows and use it in Stjobno Mail instead of your Yandex ID password.
- Incoming (IMAP)
- imap.yandex.ru:993 · SSL
- Outgoing (SMTP)
- smtp.yandex.ru:465 · SSL
- Stjobno Mail fills these in by itself when you type the address.
Gmail: an app password
- Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google Account: myaccount.google.com → Security.
- Open myaccount.google.com/apppasswords, type a name such as "Stjobno Mail" and press Create.
- Copy the 16-letter password Google shows — it is shown once — and use it in Stjobno Mail instead of your Google password.
IMAP is always on in Gmail, there is nothing to switch on. A work or school Google account connects only if its administrator allows app passwords.
- Incoming (IMAP)
- imap.gmail.com:993 · SSL
- Outgoing (SMTP)
- smtp.gmail.com:465 · SSL
- Stjobno Mail fills these in by itself when you type the address.
Mail.ru: a password for external applications
- In Mail.ru open the account settings → Security → Passwords for external applications.
- Add a password, give it a name and allow full access to the mailbox (IMAP and SMTP).
- Copy the password and use it in Stjobno Mail instead of your Mail.ru password.
- Incoming (IMAP)
- imap.mail.ru:993 · SSL
- Outgoing (SMTP)
- smtp.mail.ru:465 · SSL
- Stjobno Mail fills these in by itself when you type the address.
Questions and answers
Is this a mail collector like Yandex's or Gmail's?
It does the same job — one inbox for several addresses — without copying the letters: each mailbox is read from its own server, and a reply goes out through the server of the address it is sent from.
Why does Yandex need an app password?
Yandex lets mail programs in only with an app password, not with your Yandex ID password. It works for mail alone and can be deleted in Yandex ID at any time.
Can I add Mail.ru too?
Yes. Mail.ru also gives passwords for external applications. Add as many mailboxes as you have.
Do I have to pay?
No. Reading, writing and sorting the mail of all your mailboxes is free, with no limit on the number of mailboxes. Only the optional AI functions are paid.
